That day we drove 450 miles...we were a bit behind schedule and needed to arrive at Chelsea's by Sunday night. We didn't have time to stop anywhere else. We put the peddle to the metal and spent the night in Holbrook at another KOA. We were up by 5:30 and on the road again. That day we stopped in Albuquerque for lunch at El Pinto. We had an amazing meal and left full and happy. We logged over 550 miles that day! That evening on our way to our campground we stopped at the Cadillac Ranch..a hippy inspired art project from 1974. I remember seeing pictures of it when I was a kid. It was a little surreal to be standing in a cow pasture among the half buried Cadillacs!
